Ann Russell (nee MacDonald)

March 15, 1948 – May 25, 2018
Ann peacefully passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 after a lengthy and courageous struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Ann was born in Fortrose, Rosshire, Scotland where she grew up with her older siblings, Isobel and Kenneth. While working in Inverness she met her husband Dick, whom she married in 1974. They welcomed their daughter, Mhairi, in 1977 and then their son, Andrew, in 1982. Ann and her family immigrated to Canada in 1983, first living in Yellowknife, NWT before moving to Revelstoke, BC in 1985.

Ann will be remembered for her easy laugh, sense of adventure, her love and dedication to her family and friends, her enjoyment of skiing, hiking, gardening and anything outdoors.

Ann leaves behind her husband Dick (Jennifer), children Mhairi (Tim) & Andrew (Noe) and grandchildren Stella, Adele and Henry.

Sincerest thanks to Dr Neil Leslie, Dr Kate McCarroll and to the many nurses and care aids that provided Ann with exceptional and compassionate care at the Queen Victoria Cottages.

Any and all friends are invited to join us for a celebration of Ann’s life on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 1-4 pm at the Hillcrest Hotel, Revelstoke, BC.
