Anna Godfreyson passed away at Mt. Cartier Court Extended Care, Revelstoke on Friday, December 2nd, 2011 at the age of 89 years. A Funeral Service was held at the Revelstoke United Church on Tuesday afternoon, December 13th with Reverend Ken Jones officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Revelstoke Community Foundation, Box 2398, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0, in memory of Anna.
Anna was born in Latvia on December 8, 1921 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1935. She was very active in the Revelstoke United Church. Anna also was on the board of Moberly Manor for 14 years and volunteered at Moberly for many years. She was very community minded, sports minded and was active in the community for many years. Anna lived a very fulfilling life.
Anna was predeceased by her husband John in 1979, daughter Janey in 2000 and her brother Norbert in 2008. She is survived by two children: Charlene Robertson of Campbell River and Eric (Linda) Godfreyson of Revelstoke; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister-in-law Phyllis Stier of Kamloops as well as several nieces and nephews.
