September 9, 1941 - October 17, 2019
It is with shock and utter sadness that I have to let you know that mom has passed on to the spirit world. Her first sunrise was September 9, 1941 and her final was October 17, 2019.
Mom was born in Vancouver and raised in White Rock and around the area. She met her husband Ray in the early 60's and I was born in '64. Dad moved us to Revelstoke in 1972. I remember many horse endeavors , mom loved to ride and dad even got her going on the snowmobile.
She was such a character with an entertaining sense of humor. Loved to play tricks on friends and even strangers. She was compelled to help animals, people with special needs and the elderly. She gave endless effort raising batches of puppies and kittens. She spent many years as a Brownie leader. Mom was always in service.
Mom loved to cook, entertain, bake and can foods and make jam. She could play accordion and was talented at making poems.
She loved her cats, Annie, Arnold , Amos, Archie, Andy and Angel. I am sure she will be watching over them.
Mom was predeceased by her granddaughter Cassandra and her husband Ray. She loves and is survived by her brother Ray and her sister Darlene. Her "Tea Party" friends were loved and considered her family, there will be one held on Saturday for her. Mom has me left along with Tom and her Grandchildren, Shaina, Dylan, Nathan and Landen.
Please in lieu of flowers, she would rather help the humane society in Revelstoke.
