Benedetto (Ben) Ciolli passed away peacefully with his beloved family by his side at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Monday, January 9th, 2023, at the age of 89 years. A private family Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Revelstoke.
Ben was born in Pofi, Italy on July 9, 1933, and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1967. Ben loved soccer, both watching and playing the game. He also enjoyed watching hockey. In his younger years he was an accomplished boxer and also enjoyed bowling. Time spent with his family was most important to Ben and he adored all his grandchildren.
Ben was predeceased by his parents and his beloved wife Italia in 2021. He is survived by three children: Pina (Rod) Sherlock of Revelstoke, Massimo (Catherine) Ciolli of Mission and Roberta Ciolli of Revelstoke; five grandchildren: Yvonne (Jim) Walker of Airdrie, Alberta, Natasha (Mike) Perkins of Revelstoke, Jason (Lyndsay) Ciolli of Kelowna, Michelle Ciolli (Matt Logan) of Kelowna and Jennifer Ciolli of West Kelowna; seven great grandchildren: Landon, Reid, Corbin, Logan, Juliet, Luca and Jackson, as well as many friends.
Ben's family would like to thank Dr. Chris Macdonald, Dr. Kate McCarroll, Anne Marie Gill and all the nurses and staff at Queen Victoria Hospital for the wonderful care given to him.
