Brenda Joyce Marie Ness died suddenly at her residence in Revelstoke on Saturday, December 20th, 2008 at the age of 65 years. Prayers were recited from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Revelstoke on Monday evening, December 29th, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday morning, December 30th. Pallbearers were: Darryl Niehaus, Brad Nakucyj, Glen Piattelli, Craig Piattelli, Ken Sakamoto and Brad Punt.
Cremation followed the service with burial of the cremated remains in the family plot of Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke in the spring of 2009. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Revelstoke Humane Society, P.O. Box 340, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0, in memory of Brenda.
Brenda was born in Revelstoke, B.C. on February 17, 1943 and had been a life-long resident. She loved shopping and going to garage sales and was an avid collector of many items. Brenda was very kind, gentle and compassionate and had a big heart. She loved animals and people and would do anything for either. The joy of Brenda’s life was her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved very much.
Brenda was predeceased by her parents Isabel and Frank Muzzillo, both in 2002. She is survived by her husband Martin of Revelstoke; daughter Rhonda Perry (Darryl Niehaus) of Vernon; two grandchildren: Lindsey (Brad) Nakucyj of Vernon and Jason Perry of Vernon; brother-in-law Tormod (Anne-Marie) Ness in Norway; sister-in-law Jordie (Wayne) Ness of Victoria; nieces and nephews: local cousins Gail Piattelli and Glen (Rose) Piattelli of Revelstoke as well as other extended family members.
Arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
