Brian Richard Laurence
October 12, 1946 – June 19, 2016
Brian was born in Toronto, Ontario and moved out west in his early twenties. He had many adventures, including being a musician, lead singer and guitarist. Brian settled in Revelstoke thirty-three years ago and started his business Auto Fix and later Silverline Transmission. He was a grateful member of AA and recently celebrated 26 years of sobriety on June 10th. Brian loved his wife, six children and eight grandchildren dearly. One of his passions was helping feed and care for orphaned animals, including his faithful shop-cat Tammy and his Pookey-Bear who never left his side while he was ill.
Brian is survived by his wife Joy; his children: Shaughnessy, Carl, Dawn (Joe), Jennifer (Paul), Roy and Sam (Lauren); his grandchildren Jonah, Sophia, Faith, Holli, Emma, Griffin, John and Liam; mother Jeannette, father-in-law Ron, sister Lynn (Jim), brother Mark (Shannon) as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 24th, 2016 at the Revelstoke Alliance Church. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Revelstoke Humane Society, Box 340, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0.
