In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of B.C. & The Yukon, 729 Victoria Street, Kamloops, B.C. V2C 2B6 or B.C. Lung Association, 2675 Oak Street, Vancouver, B.C. V6H 2K2, or the charity of one's choice, in memory of Brian.

Brian was born in Westlock, Alberta on November 1, 1953. He and Joanne met and fell in love; marrying on April 13, 1974. They spent some time early in their marriage living in Revelstoke before work took their family to Princeton for 15 years. An opportunity at Downie Sawmill brought them back to Revelstoke where they have enjoyed the last 29 years. Brian was an accomplished sawyer and worked 29 years for Downie Sawmill.

Family was very important to Brian and he loved spending time with his two children and six grandchildren. Brian was lovingly known as Pappy, Papa, Dad, Longjohn and Honey Bun. He was hardworking, patient and could fix anything from vacuums to sewing machines and everything in between. His friends and family knew that if Brian could not fix it, it was unfixable!

He had a wonderful, witty sense of humor and always knew what to say in any situation to make people laugh. Brian loved to fish, camp and enjoy the outdoor activities that living in Revelstoke offered.

Brian was predeceased by his parents Steve and Elsie; brother Ronnie and sister-in-law Cheryl. He is survived by his wife Joanne of Revelstoke; daughter Sheri (Shawn) of Cranbrook; son Shaun (Arissa) of Airdrie; brothers Chris (Carola) of Revelstoke, Mike (Susan) of Revelstoke and Gary of Sicamous; brother-in-law Rodney (Debbie) of Kamloops and brother-in-law Roy of Kelowna; grandchildren: Noah, Nathaniel, Nicholas, Kieron, Elijah and Arya as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends.
