On Tuesday, October 20, 2009, Claudia Sanders passed away, peacefully, in Vernon hospital, at the age of 82 years.
She was born, Claudia Maxine Nowlin, in Kitchener, B.C. on March 31, 1927. She lived most of her life in the Kootenays. She married the late Russel Sanders in 1947, in Nelson, B.C. They raised a family of five children and were long-time residents of Nakusp, and later resided in Revelstoke, where she lived at the time of her passing.
Claudia will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children, Ardele (Allan), Gail and Murray of Revelstoke, Linda (Len) of Nakusp, and Shawn of Duncan, eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister and one brother. Claudia was pre-deceased by her parents and one brother, Alton.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Nakusp Senior Citizens’ Hall on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 1:00 pm.
