Mrs. Connie Margaret Bramhill passed away peacefully at Mount Cartier Court, Revelstoke on Tuesday, April 30th, 2019 at the age of 91 years. A family gathering with the interment of Connie's cremated remains will occur at a later date in the family plot of Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Illecillewaet Greenbelt Society, P.O. Box 306, Revelstoke, B.C., V0E 2S0 or the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), #101-1456 St. Paul Street, Kelowna, B.C., V1Y 2E6, in memory of Connie.
Connie was born in Golden, B.C. on August 16th, 1927. She met Alan Bramhill in 1943 at a skating party. Connie and Alan married in Golden in 1945 and lived in Beavermouth before moving to Revelstoke where the family had a working farm with several animals on Loop Road, South. She worked at the old Chalet Restaurant with the Kwong family for many years. Connie enjoyed gardening, bicycling and walking her dog Riley. She was interested in people and liked talking about world events. Connie enjoyed camping and swimming and had many fond memories of Williamson's Lake. She loved learning about the History of Revelstoke and the Kootenays.
Connie was predeceased by her husband Alan, her son Terry, her granddaughter Lisa Carachelo, her parents Thomas and Margaret and her sister Mary Conner. She is survived by seven children: Alana (Butch) Carachelo of Revelstoke, Darlene (Wade) Pascoe of Victoria, Brian Bramhill of Salmon Arm, Bob (Julie) Bramhill of Edmonton, Jack (Lucero) Bramhill of Burnaby, Bruce (Linda) Bramhill of Edmonton and Keith Bramhill and good friend Vivian Mitchell of Revelstoke; four grandchildren: Melvin Carachelo of Revelstoke, Patrick Pascoe of Calgary, Leanne (Gary) Daw of Surrey and Tara (Gavin) McLaren of Edmonton; Six great grandchildren: Mitchell, Melanie, David, Kayla, Tyler and Eva, one brother John Conner, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A much appreciated thank you to Dr. Chris MacDonald, nurses and long-term care aides and other staff at Mt. Cartier Court and Moberly Manor. We felt she was cared for and well looked after.
