Daniel Paul (Dan) Wood passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Sunday, January 24th, 2010 at the age of 45 years.


A Celebration of Life Service was held from the Revelstoke Community Centre on Saturday, January 30th with family and friends presiding. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1633 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 1P6, in memory of Dan.


Dan was born in London, Ontario on February 10, 1964 and had been a resident of Revelstoke for 20 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping, fishing, hunting and quading. Dan also collected old cars and his pride was his 1969 Oldsmobile. Dan had a great love for his family and enjoyed spending time with them all.


Dan was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Eva Wood. He is survived by his wife Teresa of Revelstoke; two children: Mitchell and Jessica, both of Revelstoke; one brother Doug (Wendy) Wood of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta; one sister Lynda Vanderlaan of Calgary; parents-in-law Irene Williams of Penticton and Erie Williams of Salmon Arm as well as numerous nieces and nephews.


Arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
