Passed away peacefully with family at her side Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the age of 96. Survived by her son in law George (Beverly predeceased) Mercs of Kelowna, grandson Kevin Mercs of Calgary, granddaughter Tracey Mercs (Dave Schanz) of Kelowna and her sister Eva Rebaudengo of Calgary. Sadly predeceased by her husband Chat in 2006.
Edith was born in Trail, BC in 1914, then moved to Revelstoke where she lived until age 89. She and Chat then came to Kelowna where she resided at David Lloyd Jones Home until her passing. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 10:30 am at St Pius X, 1077 Fuller Ave., Kelowna, BC with Father Bart van Roijen as celebrant. Interment to follow in Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Center for the Southern Interior, 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, BC V1Y 5L3.
