Edward "Ralph" Spence passed away at Shuswap Lake General Hospital in Salmon Arm, BC, at the age of 89 years.

Ralph was born on January 28, 1929, in Trail, BC. Besides Trail, Ralph grew up on the Coast and Penticton, before settling in Revelstoke to work for CP Rail. He spent many years there with his wife Isabel raising a family, before moving to Port Coquitlam in 1979, where he worked the rail-yards at the docks before retiring in 1988. Moving back to Salmon Arm in 1991, he enjoyed many years of travel and fishing.

After the passing of his wife in 2013, Ralph spent some years in Revelstoke, living with his daughter Barb and son-in-law Dan, before moving back to Salmon Arm where he resided at Piccadilly Terrace.

Ralph will be lovingly remembered by his children, Rod (Marcella) of Revelstoke, Barbara (Dan) Boltwood of Revelstoke, Robert of Vancouver, and Debbie (Glenn) Parke of Salmon Arm; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Ralph was predeceased by his wife, Isabel, and his sister, Grace.

Ralph's quick wit and his knack of story-telling will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A service of remembrance will be held at the Shuswap Community Church, Salmon Arm, BC on Saturday April 21, 2018 at 11:00 am.
