Elaine Marie Taylor passed away peacefully after a short hospital stay due to a chronic illness on Monday, February 12, 2018 at the age of 76 years.  There will be no funeral service at Elaine's request.  A memorial Tea will be held at a later date for friends and family.

Elaine was born in Galahad, AB, January 5, 1942, and has been a resident of Revelstoke for the past 42 years.  Elaine was an avid sports fan and loved to watch her grandchildren play sports, especially hockey.  She volunteered for many years for the local Junior B hockey team. 

Elaine loved to do crafts of every kind and hosting "Stich and Bitch" sessions with her friends once a week for many years was one of her favorite things to do.  Elaine and her husband Lee were very actively involved with the Revelstoke Rod and Gun club for many years, which created many long time friendships.  Elaine loved to travel with Lee and see the different sites in BC and various states.  

Elaine is survived by her husband Lee Taylor of Revelstoke, 2 daughters Debra (Ed) Beattie and Lee-Ann Brule, both of Revelstoke.  4 Grandsons, Kyle & Keiffer Beattie (Grande Prairie), Nick Navratil (Calgary), and Dakota Brule (Revelstoke).  2 Granddaughters Kaleigh Beattie (Revelstoke) and Cheyenne Brule (Williams Lake).  Special friend/daughter Beatrice Kozek of Revelstoke and her children Michael, Kristina and Renee.  Sister Arlene Jurassa of Calgary and Brother Don (June) Kandt of Westlock, AB as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Elaine was predeceased by her father Frank Kandt, mother Alma Kandt and son Dwaine Navratil.

The family would like to thank Dr. MacLeod for his dedication and wonderful care of mom.  Also we would like to thank the entire nursing staff and doctors at Queen Victoria Hospital for their amazing care.
