Mrs. Betty Govenlock passed away at Mount Cartier Court, Revelstoke on Saturday November 24th, 2018 at the age of 85 years. A Celebration of Betty's Life was held at the Revelstoke Seniors Center on Friday, November 30, 2018.
Betty was born on a farm just outside of Arborfield, Saskatchewan on August 1, 1933. She was the third oldest child of Joe and Elizabeth Kapeller. Betty attended Megan District School but left after grade nine to help on the family farm. Betty enjoyed listening to country classic music, playing Canasta, Crib and Bingo. She loved knitting, crocheting and making crafts. Betty will be remembered for her cabbage rolls, cinnamon buns and her delicious and sought after sweet buns. She moved to Revelstoke in September of 2011 where she settled into Moberly Manor.
Betty was predeceased by her husband Charlie; son Bill; step-son Scott; parents Joe and Elizabeth; brothers Joe, Bill and Alfred and sister Louise. She is survived by her brother Ed (Florence); sisters-in-law Isabell, Elaine and Joan; children Ann (Bill), Linda (Les), Doreen (Alex), Fred (Jody), Colette (Brent), Brenda (Bryan), Bill (Renee) and Wendy (Martin); 25 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren as well as a much larger extended family and close friends.

Cremation arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
