Elli Ursula Brosch
March 11, 1932 – Feb. 2, 2009
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly loved mother and grandmother on February 2, 2009.
Elli was born on March 11, 1932 in Schwarz, Germany. She came to Canada in 1957 with her husband Walter and son Gerhard, and lived in Toronto, Vancouver, and Mayo, Yukon before settling in Revelstoke in 1961 to raise her family.
She is survived by her children: Regina, Gerhard (Jennifer), Peter (Adrienne), Gisela (Wade), Roy, and Kurt (Beverley), and her grandchildren: Michaela (Roberto), Dominique, Sarah, Claire, Alyssa, Michael, Erik, and Rebecca, and great-grandchildren Lukas and Hannes. Elli was predeceased by her husband Walter on December 3, 1999.
We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to everyone who shared in our loss, with a special thank you to Heidi Miertsch and family, the Revelstoke Hospice Society, and the staff of the Acute Care Unit at the Queen Victoria Hospital for the care and compassion given to our mother in her final days.
There will be no service at Elli’s request. A family gathering will be held to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Revelstoke Hospice Society.
Forever in our hearts, we will miss her always.
