Elli Woolsey passed away on February 13, 2019 at Mount Cartier Court in Revelstoke, B.C.

Elli is survived by her sister Dora, brother Klaus, brother-in-law Reinhard Jarche, sister-in-law Josette Jarche, sister-in-law Irene Woolsey and five children, Holger (Linda) Jarche, Harold (Andrea) Jarche, Barbara Weeden, Michael (Nicola) Jarche, Margaret (Ken Corkum) Gray, grand children Nicholas, Lucas, Kristine, Ryan, Ashley, Tasha, and great grandchildren Lauryn, Alissa, Maclaren, Gwenalyn, Harrison and many nieces and nephews. Elli was pre-deceased by her son-in-law Mark Weeden.

Elli was born to Paul and Meta Roggenbuck in Kolberg, Prussia (now Kolobrzeg, Poland) on June 19, 1930. In 1945 Elli and her mother and five siblings had to flee to west Germany on the approach of the advancing soviet army. Her family then settled in Celle, Germany. In Celle she met and married her first husband Herbert Jarche. In October 1956 Elli along with her husband, son Holger and brother-in-law Wolfgang immigrated to Canada.

In 1964 the life of her husband Herbert was tragically taken in a car accident. She later married David Woolsey and the two ran the Little Europe Deli in Revelstoke for over 18 years. David passed away in 2003. Her last partner in life was Gordon (Gerald) Peterson who passed away in 2016.

There will be no funeral service by Elli's own request. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
