Mrs. Emma Greco passed away at Mt. Cartier Court Extended Care Unit, Revelstoke, B.C. on Tuesday, January 20th, 2009 at the age of 77 years. Prayers were recited from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Monday evening, January 26th, followed the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday morning, January 27th with Father Ramon Basilla celebrant. Interment followed in Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke.
Emma was born in Trenta, Cosenza, Italy on November 25, 1931 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1957. She volunteered for the Hospital Auxiliary and operated a kiosk at the Saturday Revelstoke Farmer’s Market selling food and crafts. Emma was a professional seamstress and made beautiful wedding gowns and other pieces for countless appreciating Revelstokians. Ever adventurous, Emma played baseball in the 1970’s Revelstoke Women’s League and performed as an amateur singer, model and actress.
Emma is survived by her husband Mike of Revelstoke; three children: Randy of Calgary, Lucy (Royal) Edmondson of Houston, Texas and Mark of Calgary; two grandchildren: Cassie and Haley as well as other relatives both in North America and Europe and many, many friends.
