Emmet Leslie Anderson

Emmet Leslie Anderson passed away peacefully at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019 at the age of 78 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Revelstoke Community Centre on Monday, September 9th, 2019 at 1:30. Flowers are acceptable, or memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 1589 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 5Y7, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 201 - 1456 St. Paul Street, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 2E6, or to local children's sports, in memory of Emmet.
Emmet was born in Malartic, Quebec on May 29, 1941 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1951. He enjoyed fishing and volunteering, including coaching Minor Hockey and being on the executive. Emmet loved building things for friends and would help anyone and loved giving to others. He was an avid Revelstoke Grizzlies fan and was named the "2017 Fan Of The Year". Family was most important to Emmet.
Emmet was predeceased by his parents, Emil and Caroline; siblings: Loretta, Shirley, Yvonne and Robert and mother-in-law Esther Calay. He is survived by his wife Jo-Anne; children: Leanne and Ian (Jordie); granddaughter Mallory (Derek) Hascarl; granddaughter Alei; brother Allan (Lynn) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
