It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Franca Stagliano. Franca passed away in Queen Victoria Hospital on March 9th, 2022, with her family by her side.
Franca Stagliano was born on April 11, 1928, in Chiaravalle Centrale, Italy. Franca is survived by her children Joe (Lillian), Maria (David) and Anna (Rudy), her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings Angela, Antionette, Maria, brother Francesco (Lillian), all of Chiaravalle, sister-in-law Maria Donato and numerous nieces and nephews.
Franca is predeceased in death by her husband Natale Stagliano, her parents Antonio and Chiara and her brother Domenico Donato.
Franca immigrated to Canada in 1952 with her son Joe and daughter Maria to join her husband in Revelstoke. Her daughter Anna was born in Revelstoke.
Throughout her life, Franca was focused on her family. She lovingly adored all her grandchildren and great grandchildren and sincerely loved the time she spent with each of them.
Franca would keep in regular contact with her family in Italy by phone. Franca had a strong faith. Franca loved flowers, gardening and cherished when people would drop in for coffee and daily phone calls.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place on March 16, 2022, at St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
The family would like to extend our heartful Thank You to Dr. Rennie, Dr. Molder and all the health care workers for the care they provided for Franca. As well a heartful Thank You to Gary and Chrissie Sulz.
