Passed in peace with family at his side on June 18, 2018 one week before his 93rd birthday. George was predeceased by his wife Sonia, son Joseph and many family and friends.
He is survived by his son Michael, daughter-in-law Margo, daughter Cheryl, son-in-law Shane McPhail, grandchildren Chris, Donna, Tony, Jennifer and Christine, and great-grandchildren Nick, Matthew, Emily, Ethan, Brooklyn, Olivia, Jack and Joey.
George was a proud member of the Nelson Italian Canadian Society, The Knights of Columbus, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
The family wishes to acknowledge Dr. Kevin McKechnie, Mountain Lakes Seniors Community, Kootenay Lake Hospital, Interior Health and LaViva Seniors Living for the care that was provide to George over the last several years.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Cathedral of Mary Immaculate, 813 Ward St, at 11:00 am on Friday, June 29, 2018. All are welcome to attend.
