Giuseppe (Joe) Endrizzi


Mr. Joe Endrizzi entered into rest at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Tuesday, October 21st, 2008 at the age of 85 years. Prayers were recited from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Revelstoke on Friday evening, October 24th, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday morning, October 25th, with Father Ramon Basilla celebrant. Pallbearers were Reinhard Seebacher, Bosko Grabovac, Murray Smith, Phil DeCicco, Richard Papsdorf and Tony Scarcella. Honorary pallbearers were Whit Vernon and Kunio Hashimoto. Interment followed in the family plot of Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1633 Pandosy Street,

Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 1P6, in memory of Joe.


Joe was born in Spormaggiore, Trento, Italy on January 29, 1923 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1951. He was an honorary member of the Revelstoke Senior Citizen’s Association and a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Joe was instrumental in starting carpet bowling at the Senior’s Center and the neighbourhood bocce court. He loved mushroom and blueberry picking, fishing, hunting and bowling. In his younger years, Joe was an avid cross country skier. He was a very competitive person and played to win as shown by the gold medal he and John Ottenbreit won at the Senior’s Games for crib.


Joe was predeceased by his parents and one sister Anna in 1985. He is survived by his wife Candy of Revelstoke; daughter Joan (Paolo) Holzer of Revelstoke; two granddaughters: Nicole Holzer of Rutland and Amy (Mike Collins) Holzer of Revelstoke; one great granddaughter Alyssa; brother Giulio (Ginetta) Endrizzi of Spormaggiore, Italy; one sister Silvia (Olivio) Zeni of Italy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.


Arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
