Helen "Elaine" Atchison passed away at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Wednesday, October 13th, 2021, at the age of 83 years. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring of 2022.
Elaine was born in Rose Valley, Saskatchewan on July 14, 1938, and moved to Revelstoke in 1973. Elaine and George moved to their new cabin on Okanagan Lake in 2016, where Elaine resided until her passing. Elaine was a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed many different card games. She especially loved sitting on the deck socializing with neighbors.
Elaine was predeceased by her husband George in 2019 and her siblings Alvin James Watson, Lawrence Watson and Lila Shea. She is survived by four children: Lila (Gord) of Revelstoke, Sherrill of Kelowna, Doug (Rhonda) of Revelstoke and Wes (Jayna) of Revelstoke; three grandchildren: Andrew Atchison (Stephanie) of Revelstoke, Meaghan Jones (Jason) of Revelstoke and Ashley Atchison (Stephanie) of Calgary; one brother Lyle Balfour of Vernon as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
