James Herbert "Jim" Eadie passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Thursday, August 13th, 2020 at the age of 84 years. A Funeral Service was held at the Fellowship Baptist Church, Revelstoke on Friday, August 21st, 2020 with Pastor Jordan Eadie officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Revelstoke Minor Hockey Association, P.O. Box 2788, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0, in memory of Jim.
Jim was born in Swan River, Manitoba on May 8, 1936 and had been a resident of Revelstoke for over 60 years. He was the owner/operator of a successful business, Revelstoke Autobody along with numerous other jobs including working in the logging industry, Auxiliary RCMP Police Officer, security guard at the CPR tunnel project and his own dump truck business. Jim enjoyed playing baseball and hockey and was the Head Coach of Minor Hockey for a time. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, travelling and gold mining on his claims up the Big Bend. Jim especially loved his time spent at "The Island".
Jim was predeceased by his parents, John and Rebecca Eadie, one son James (Jim) Eadie in 2013 and brother Jack Eadie. He is survived by his loving wife Gwen of Revelstoke; son Dean of Calgary; grandson Evan James Stark Eadie of Vanderhoof, B.C.; brother Wally (Judy) Eadie of Revelstoke; sisters Helen Thompson, Wilma (John) Reid and Edna (Clinton) Day; daughter-in-law Dana Stark if Vanderhoof, B.C., as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
