James Kevin (Jim) Holdener passed away unexpectedly in California on Saturday, March 20th, 2010 at the age of 55 years. A Celebration of Life Service was held at the Revelstoke Community Center on Monday afternoon, March 29th with family and friends presiding. Inurnment of the cremated remains followed in the family niche of Mt. Begbie Columbarium in Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Revelstoke Community Foundation, Box 2398, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0, in memory of Jim.


Jim was born in Revelstoke, B.C. on October 21, 1954 and had been a life-long resident. He enjoyed skiing, playing baseball, flying his airplanes, photography and most especially, riding his motorbike. Jim had a zest for life and always made everyone around him smile and laugh. He had a real love for his hometown and was always doing for his community and others. Jim was a quiet and unassuming man who had a great love for his entire family.


Jim was predeceased by his parents Arnold and Beatrice Holdener and his parents-in-law Hugh and Florie Storr. He is survived by his devoted wife Sue of Revelstoke; six brothers: Gordon (Juanette) of Revelstoke, David (Roberta) of Revelstoke, Keith (Lorraine) of

Revelstoke, Dennis (Susan) of Revelstoke, Glen (Vickie) of Penticton and Bryon (Linda) of Revelstoke; sister-in-law Cathy Storr of Campbell River, B.C.; nieces and nephews: Curt, Colin, Leanne, Shari, Kelley, Katie, Amanda, Heather, Christy, Michael, Tyler, Brennan and Sara; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and a host of good friends.


Arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
