April 20, 2025

1931-2025, 94 years

Tina passed away peacefully at Queen Victoria Hospital on April 20th, 2025. She was born in Westerkeif, Holland and she and Oeds along with a young son and daughter, immigrated to Canada in May of 1953. Revelstoke became their home the following year.

Tina was predeceased by her husband, Oeds, her daughter, Ann Morabito and her husband Jim, her brothers, Hank and Jack Van Goor. She is survived by her brother, Albert of Kamloops, her sons, John (Lynn) of Salmon Arm, Barry and Danny (Stephanie) of Revelstoke, her daughters Kathy (Jeff) Lingren and Tereasa (Doug) Liebel of Vernon as well as numerous grandchildren and a great grandchildren.

Nothing pleased Tina more than walking her dogs, which often included a few neighbourhood stragglers - over the bridge and dyke or somewhere along the river often for hours. Her love of animals did not stop with the canine herd, she housed a whole host of cats over the years as well. Tina was respected by family members for her remarkable skills in the kitchen and actively sought out new recipes to try out with great success. After a good meal and possibly a British TV series, her next passion was reading. Tina was a lifelong avid reader and library supporter who always had a small stack of novels on her bedside table. Talking recipes and novels were great pleasures.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Queen Victoria Hospital for the care that was given to Tina during her recent stays as well as the thoughtful consideration and support offered to the family members.

In keeping with Tina's wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers please consider a contribution to the local SPCA or animal shelter of your choice.
