It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jason Albert James Filipchuk-- Loving Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and Friend.
Grieved in passing by his wife Michelle (Mishka) Sturley and her family, Don Filipchuk and his family Shawn Filipchuk (Dylan Powell) and Michelle Filipchuk. Missing their "Uncle Fluffy Bunny" are Nephews and Nieces Aiden, Nyah, Karsyn and Alexa as well as numerous family members and friends from all over the world.
Jason was a creative eccentric who always carved his own path in life and encouraged the same expression in others--he was a raconteur with a poet heart. Jason felt equally at home in peaceful lakes and forests; as he did in the midst of theatre and music festival crews or working backstage at stadium concerts.
Jason will be missed in a complex and massive number of ways, most importantly for his love of his wife and family, and the music that was within every breath of his being. Jason loved music in an all-consuming way - with every breath and with every heartbeat - there was a song, a melody, a tune that only he could hear and he would then create what most could only see....as magic. His gift to us today is the music he created, to hear some of his beautiful songs please visit www.the-hobbyist.com.
"We're strange and torn, lucky to be here. Beautiful, and hard to find.
We're here today, gone tomorrow. And this is just a moment in time."
~ Jason Filipchuk, Forget Words.
