John Ross Lowey

John Ross Lowey passed away near Revelstoke, British Columbia on Monday, July 15th, 2019 at the age of 54 years. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the St. Francis Church Hall on Friday, August 2nd, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. Interment will follow the reception at Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke.
John was born in Tonasket, Washington on May 31, 1965 to Eva and Wilfred Lowey. His family moved to Revelstoke when he was a young child and he always maintained that Revelstoke was his home. John began driving trucks at the age of 16 and when he wasn't behind the wheel, he enjoyed maintaining them to meet his high standards of both function and appearance. He was a well-known logger and spent many years in the logging industry in the area over the years. John's love for his family was his greatest joy.
John was predeceased by his father Wilfred and brother Rod. He is survived by his mother Eva Lowey; brothers Shawn (Janis) and Vernon Lowey; sisters Lenore Rowaan (Ed) and Trudy Lowey; his three children; Kyla (Greg Simenoff) , Curtis (Samantha Shore) and Kaylee Lowey; and his grandchildren Kashton and Declyn Lowey, as well as many nieces and nephews.
