Kevin Oscar Pelttari passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Revelstoke on Wednesday Aug 24, 2022, at the age of 65.
Kevin was born in Golden, B.C. on June 18, 1957 and resided in Revelstoke for 53 years. He worked many years in the mountains, always with a chainsaw and seasonally fighting forest fires. Kevin loved the bush, he enjoyed woodworking and was always happy to help anyone with getting a load of firewood. He liked to talk about fishing, finding arrowheads, old artifacts and rare stones along the railway; much like his father Ty.
Kevin was very kind, generous and charming with that little wink he would give. He adored dogs and often talked about Shadow, Duke and Mica with his friends. He usually had a beer in hand and really enjoyed good food. He will be remembered as sharp shooter at a game of pool and hard to beat in a hand of crib.
Kevin was predeceased by his father Taisto and his sister Sandy. He is survived by his Mother Marlene; three children: Jessica, Waylon and Texas; five grandchildren: Avery, Xavier, Sierra, Orion, Althea. His siblings: Darlene (Murray), Brenda (Steve) and Valerie (Ashley), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a good friend to many; he loved his family and will be deeply missed by all. Kevin will be laid to rest at the Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke BC. September 24, 2022 at 11:00am.
