Leonard Charles Storey passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital in Revelstoke on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the age of 82 years. A memorial service will be held later this spring to celebrate Leonard's life.

Leonard was born in Hillsdown Alberta, just outside of Red Deer, on August 18, 1935. Leonard was one of five children born to Frank and Mary Storey. At the age of twelve Leonard and his family moved from Canmore, Alberta to Revelstoke and made this community home. His father Frank went to work on McKinnon Dairy farm after leaving the mines of Alberta for the fresh air of Revelstoke.

After finishing high school Leonard moved to Sidney, BC, with his parents to build docks and drive taxi. In the 1960's Leonard moved back to Revelstoke with his parents and began working in the bush. He drove a loader for Coueffin Construction and later did some logging with his brother John's company LeaJ Logging Ltd.

Leonard was a quiet man that never married and chose to stay with his parents and care for them in their later years. He was an animal lover that always enjoyed a good NHL hockey game.

Leonard is predeceased by his parents Frank and Mary Storey, his brother David and his sister Velma. He is survived by his brother John and sister Norma as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
