Lilliana Scarcelli passed away at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Friday, January 9th, 2009 at the age of 70 years. Prayers were recited from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Tuesday evening, January 13th, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday morning, January 14th with Father Ramon Basilla celebrant. Pallbearers were: Marcy Angelozzi, Mike Bafaro, Luigi Fuscaldo, Glen Sampson, Landon Fuscaldo and Nolan Fuscaldo. Interment followed in Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1633 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 1P6, in memory of Lilli.
Lilli was born in Spezzano, Piccolo, Italy on September 24, 1938 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1952. She loved to visit with her family and friends and especially enjoyed singing with her friends.
Lilli was predeceased by her parents, two sisters: Marietta Fuscaldo and Susie Bafaro and an infant brother Michele. She is survived by one sister Aurora (Vince) Angelozzi of Revelstoke; brother-in-law Cesare Bafaro of Revelstoke; eight nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; Aunt Maria Zumpano of Vancouver; numerous cousins and her good friend Esther Lachner as well as her many friends at the group home.
Arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
