Mrs. Lois Masur passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Thursday, April 3rd, 2008 at the age of 77 years. A Funeral Service was held at the Revelstoke United Church on Tuesday afternoon, April 8th with Reverend Ken Jones officiating. Interment followed in the family plot of Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke. Pallbearers were: Jamie Millar, Scott Gamble, Ryan Shanks, Bill King Jr., Kyle Tizzard & Aaron Tizzard. Honorary pallbearers were: Bill King, Ken Granstrom, Clayton Hamilton, Peter Eichinger, Jeff Tizzard, Gordon Shanks, Ron Eichinger and Ed Schroeder. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Revelstoke Hospice Society, P.O. Box 3133, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0, or to the charity of one’s choice, in memory of Lois.

Lois was born in Kamloops, B.C. on February 25, 1931 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1988. She was a charter member of the Revelstoke Hospice Society, a 20 year member of the Revelstoke Golf Club, a member of the Ladies of the Shrine and help make cancer dressings with the Eastern Star. Lois was a school teacher and taught school at Albert Canyon, Selkirk School and substituted at Mica Creek School. She was an avid curler and especially enjoyed being with her family and friends.

Lois was predeceased by her parents, sister Audrey, brothers-in-law: Paul, Alfred, Robert, Charles, Leslie and Donald Masur; sisters-in-law: Elsie and Audrey. She is survived by her husband Clayton of Revelstoke; two brothers: Ken (Marge) Millar of Comox and Jim Millar of Vancouver; sisters-in-law: Agnes Masur of Melville, Saskatchewan, Isabelle Masur of Calgary, Mary Masur of Parksville, Julie Masur of Williams Lake, Dorothy Moen of Melville, Ethel Nash of Victoria, Gladys Knowles of Maple Ridge, Marjorie Brown of Armstrong, Doris Smaha of Armstrong and Lillian (Peter) Eichinger of Armstrong as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
