MALCOLM “MAC” STUART CAVERHILL
March 18th , 1920 – July 20th, 2010
Malcolm Caverhill passed away suddenly at home in West Kelowna, BC on July 20th, 2010.
Mac is survived by daughters Diane Ganten of Canoe, BC.; Barbara (Ward) Kemerer of Revelstoke, BC.; granddaughters Mara and Kelly Ganten of Canoe, BC.; sister Jean (Walter) McGinn of Fredericton, NB; sister-in-law Isabel Caverhill of Fredericton, NB; many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews in NB and Ontario.
He was predeceased by wife Joan; parents Florence and Herbert Caverhill; sisters Ethel (Albert) Whitehead and Alma (Edison) MacFarlane; brothers Lloyd and Gerald (Avis) and Allison (Isabel) Caverhill; brother-in-law Walter McGinn.
In recent months, Mac was living at the Westwood Retirement Resort in West Kelowna, where he was absolutely spoiled rotten by all the staff – well deserved, we thought. Our gratitude goes out to the staff for showing Mac such a great time.
Mac was quiet, kind and generous and was a devoted family man. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and neighbours, not to mention the gang at TCA/Air Canada.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Mac’s name to the B.C. Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Arrangements are being handled by Springfield Funeral Home at 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. The memorial took place on July 30th, 2010.
