Passed away in Victoria, BC on December 16th, 2008 at the age of 87 years. Survived by her loving children, son Bob, (Leslie), daughters Diane and Judy, (Barry). Grandchildren John, (Penny), Paul and Jaclyn, Great grandchildren Sarah and Jessica. Also survived by two sisters, Jean and Dorothy (Mike) and predeceased by her loving brother Ronald.

Margaret enjoyed life to the fullest. Born in Revelstoke, BC, October 8th, 1921. She was the eldest daughter of Ralph and Elizabeth Chisholm. Margaret was a teacher for many years in the Victoria area, James Island, and in her early years taught in the Revelstoke area and Glacier National Park. Margaret was committed to learning and teaching and was always interested in the world affairs.

Her love of and dedication to family, friends, students and her garden will always be remembered. She spent many hours with her grandson John, planning and redesigning one garden bed at a time, or searching for that “special” plant to put in a pot.

Margaret will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The cookie tin in the fridge may now be empty, but we will always have our memories.

A special thanks to the Home Care Support team, Home Care Nurse Stephanie Sandburg and Victoria Hospice.
