Mrs. Margaret Helene Munk passed away in Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at the age of 82 years.
A graveside service was held in the family plot in Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke on Monday afternoon, April 7, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Ken Jones officiating. A reception followed at the Lower Level of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Born in Golden, BC on June 9, 1925, she was a pioneer of the Revelstoke area, with her father working for the CP Rail, they moved from section to section. Margaret attended school in Sicamous. She resided in many locations, settling in Vernon until moving to Downie RV Resort in 1986, where she remained active until very recently.
Predeceased by her
husband, Fred on November 7, 1997, two brothers, Ed and Lloyd and her parents, Timothy and Margaret Wallis, she leaves her loving family, son Don (Sylvia) of Downie; two daughters, Marilyn (Bert)
Halvorson of Prince George and Elaine Miller of Edmonton; four grandchildren, Kerri, Lorrilei, Roger and Angel;
5 great grandchildren; and one brother, Bert (Velma) Wallis of Calgary.
