Maria Palladino passed away peacefully in the care of Mount Cartier Court on Saturday September 21, 2024, at the age of 90.
Prayers will be recited at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Revelstoke on Friday, October 4th at 7:00 PM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 5th at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery and a reception at the Catholic Church Hall.
Pallbearers are: Olindo Brunetti, Angelo Brunetti, Claudio Brunetti, Antonio Brunetti, Mike Brunetti, and Jeff Czar.
Maria was born in Campobasso, Italy on November 22, 1933, and lived in Revelstoke for 63 years with her husband, Carmine Palladino (d. 2009) where she raised her family and worked as a housekeeper and seamstress.
Maria enjoyed growing her vegetable garden and flowers, cooking, crocheting, puzzles, and being with her family and friends. Her greatest joy of all was her granddaughters whom she enjoyed spoiling. She was happiest when she made sure everyone was well fed. The front porch was always a place where you would find her enjoying family, friends, and a good nap.
Maria is survived by her daughters Giovanna Czar (Jeff) of Victoria and Nilda Palladino of Kelowna; granddaughters Jacqueline Czar, Andrea Czar and Alyssa McKinney; sisters Rita Brunetti of Revelstoke, Elena Bellone and Antonietta Ciaramella of Campobasso, Italy and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and their families in Revelstoke, Surrey and Italy.
The family would like to thank everyone who has been so thoughtful in her care at Mount Cartier Court and her home support team. Also, thank you to all for the generosity and outpouring of love and friendship during this time. The support has been truly amazing.
