Maria Zingg passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Sunday, October 30th, 2011 at the age of 90 years. There will be no formal funeral service by Maria’s own request. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Revelstoke Community Foundation, Box 2398, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0, in memory of Maria.
Maria was born in Zetzwil, Switzerland on November 14, 1920 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1990. She was an avid gardener who loved to grow flowers and also loved animals of all kinds.
Maria was predeceased by her husband Oskar in 2007. She is survived by two sons: Werner Schlaefli of Switzerland and Adrian Schlaefli (Joanne Rudak of Vernon) of Revelstoke and grand daughter Vera Scheepman of Germany.
