Martin Miertsch

Martin Miertsch passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Tuesday, October 15th, 2019 at the age of 83 years. There will be a Celebration of Life Service at St. Francis of Assisi Hall on Saturday, October 26th, 2019 at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Revelstoke & District Humane Society, P.O. Box 340, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0, in memory of Martin.
Martin was born in Dessau, Germany on May 1, 1936 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1958. He enjoyed fishing, building and puttering in his workshop. Martin especially loved spending time with his family.
Martin was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Frieda and brother Joachim. He is survived by his wife Heidi of Revelstoke; two daughters: Tina Miertsch and Debbie (Fred) Bower, all of Revelstoke; four grandchildren: Melina, Michael, Angela and Ashley; brothers: Helmuth (Gabi) Miertsch, Klaus Miertsch and Richard Miertsch and one sister Edith Hanel.
Martin's family would like to thank Doctors Jarmula, Macleod and Batchelor and the nursing staff of Queen Victoria Hospital for their wonderful care.
