Mary Elizabeth (Molly) Pipe
Mary Elizabeth Pipe (our Molly) passed away at Mount Cartier Court Extended Care, Revelstoke on Wednesday, November 26th, 2008 at the age of 84 years. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Revelstoke on Tuesday morning, December 2nd with Father Ramon Basilla celebrant. Cremation.
Flowers are acceptable.
Molly was born in Sunderland, England on November 25th, 1924 to John and Jessica Rogers. The youngest of nine children, Molly was predeceased by her brothers John, James and Matthew and by her sisters Christine and Jessica as well as two infant siblings. Molly is survived by her sister Anne White of Sunderland, England and many nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly.
Molly married the love of her life George Robert Pipe on June 22nd, 1946 and in 1952 set sail for Canada. Bob and Molly built a home together in Calgary, Alberta where their daughter Diane was born. Molly was a devout Catholic and spent many hours with the Catholic Women’s League through St. Bernadette’s Church. In 1997 Molly and Bob came to Revelstoke to be closer to their family. They loved Revelstoke and made many dear friends here.
In 2001 Molly was predeceased by her beloved husband Bob. She is survived by her daughter Diane Pipe, her devoted son-in-law John Holmes; two beautiful grand daughters Angela and Jennifer; two wonderful step grandchildren Erika and Geordie and Geordie’s precious new baby boy Mackale.
Molly had a sparking personality far bigger than her five foot one stature and she will be missed by many whose lives she touched, but none more so than her family who were so very blessed to have her as our own.
Arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke. “Rest in the arms of the Angels, Molly.”
