With broken hearts we are saddened to announce the passing of our Mom and dear wife Mary (Orgnacco) van Goor.
Mary was predeceased by her Mother and Father, Mary (Colarch) and Delfino Orgnacco, her first husband Richard Reese, her brother Francis Orgnacco and her daughter-in-law Sherrian van Goor.
Mary leaves to mourn, her loving husband of 55 years, Jack and four children, Albert (Diane), Annie (Chuck), Cheryl, Brad (Chantelle), her grandchildren, sisters Jean Williamson and Delfina (Gordon) Peressini, many nieces, nephews and so many friends.
Mom was the heart of our family. We loved gathering in her kitchen for family dinners that were filled with stories, laughter, wine, love and great food. While growing up Mom always made sure there was home baking waiting for us after school and home cooked meals.
Mom loved being in her home best and loved to cook, sew and garden. She was an accomplished water colour artist and loved spending time with her art group in Revelstoke. We all have her paintings around our homes that are now our treasures. She loved the outdoors and especially hiking up Mount Revelstoke.
Mom was a hairdresser by trade including establishing and operating successful hair salons for many years before retiring at 55. She volunteered with the hospice in Revelstoke and also volunteered with the Western Canada Theatre in Kamloops.
In later years she connected with her Italian relatives in Northern Italy where she had the opportunity to visit with them at her father's childhood home and kept up correspondence with her family to the end.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation or the Marjory Willoughby Snowden Hospice Society.
