In Loving Memory ~
Michael William Hall passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 18th, 2023 at the age of 70 years. There will be no formal funeral by Michael's own request.
Michael was born in Hamilton, Ontario on October 27th, 1952, and lived in Alberta until he moved to B.C. in the 1960s. He loved to ride horses and roam the hillsides in his youth.
Michael started his career at Downie Street Sawmills in the early 1970s and continued there until his retirement in 2017, with short breaks for firefighting when Downie Street was not operating.
Michael met Judy in 1973 and they were married in 1975. Together they enjoyed cross-country skiing and exploring the hills and trails around Revelstoke. Michael loved fishing, hiking, and photography. He volunteered at Revelstoke's first Food Bank, as well as the Senior's Centre.
Michael was a proud founding member of the Revelstoke Genealogy Society.
After retirement, Michael loved to take long walks out south on the old highway and on the greenbelt. He also began to enjoy gardening.
Michael was always enthusiastically helpful to everyone with lawn mowing, snow removal and building up large mounds of snow for the children to slide on. He was a genuinely happy, caring and giving person, with boundless energy.
Michael always made his pies on special occasions, as well as cinnamon rolls, but he loved his sandwich creations the most.
Michael was predeceased by his father, Vernon Hall, mother Annie Hall, sister Lorraine McLaren and brother Rupert Hall.
He is survived by Judy, his wife of 48 years; brothers Ron (Normie) Hall and John (Deb) Hall; sister Joanne Marsel and sister-in-law Carol Common, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Michael cherished his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
"Happy Trails to you Mike,
until we meet again."

Cremation arrangements are in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
