Monica Mary Davis (ne Snow) of Sicamous passed away peacefully Sunday January 10th at 1:30 PM at the Shuswap Lake General Hospital. At her side were her three daughters and lifetime friend and one time husband. She is survived by one brother William & Irene Snow of Victoria, daughters Ellen Lenzi of Revelstoke, Laura & David Fyles of Salmon Arm, Denise & Nino Giammarino of Kelowna and one son, Glen & Jennifer Davis of Leduc Alberta, also ex-husband Robert( Bob) Davis of Sicamous. She had 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Monica and Bob raised their family in Summerland and later Monica moved to Victoria to work for the Government and be close to her two brothers. She spent many happy years there and made numerous friends. She retired in Sorrento to be closer to her daughters, where she enjoyed the area and the people very much. Recently she moved to the lovely Eagle View Manor in Sicamous where the staff and fellow tenants were most kind and caring. She was instrumental in having our Dad, her ex, as she would fondly refer to him, move to the lodge that was close by, and they spent a good number of hours reminiscing.

Her heart grew tired, and being a strong and vibrant woman her whole life, when her memory started to fail her, she just wanted to go and so she did. That is just the way she did things. She was 85 on Dec 15. No service as she wished, but a celebration of her life, at the Shuswap Lake later this summer. Donations in her name can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Hope this info finds all the wonderful people she touched and touched her for there are too many to contact personally.
