Patricia Martha Ellen Adam nee Simons born July 6 1922, in Wawota, SASK, passed away peacefully March 11,2008 in Revelstoke,BC. Predeceased by her loving husband Joseph Adam,parents William and Esme Simons and brothers Cliff and Dennis Simons.

Patricia was married to her sweetheart,Joe Adam in September of 1939 when he was on leave prior to going to serve overseas. When Joe returned they relocated to Vancouver Island where Joe trained as a carpenter while still in the army. Pat looked after their growing family while Joe worked away on many large construction projects in BC. She loved to write, knit and crotchet and spend time with her family. Pat was an active member of the Alliance church. The building of Mica Dam brought Pat and Joe to Boat Encampment and Revelstoke where they lived on 3rd St. Pat worked alongside her sister-in-law Jean at the Coffee Pot Cafe on Victoria Rd and then owned and operated Tony’s Grill in Meadow Creek, BC. They returned to Revelstoke and worked at Roger’s Camp for CPR. Pat and Joe retired to sicamous, then to Vernon and Salmon Arm. After Joe passed away Pat lived in Vancouver and then finally back to Revelstoke for her final years. She was well loved for her gentle ways and witty sense of humor and will be sadly missed by all.

Pat is survived by her children Robert(Diane)Adamof Bonneville,ALTA, Margaret(Chris)Florczak of Surrey,BC, Phyllis(Mike)Meharry of Moreno Valley,California, Jack(Kamla)Adam of Revelstoke,BC and Jerry(Shan)Adam of Revelstoke,BC. She is also survived by16 grandchildren,17 greatgrandchildren, sister Daisy(Steve) Adam,Joan Simons,Marshall(Linda)Simons,John Simons, sister-in-law Jean(Roy)Harper and many special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Revelstoke Alliance Church with paster Lewis Hauer officiating on March 15,2008. In terment followed on Monday at Mt. Ida Cemetary in Salmon Arm,BC.
