Mrs. Paulina LeRose passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Friday, March 5th, 2010 at the age of 75 years. Prayers were recited from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Revelstoke on Tuesday evening, March 9th followed by the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday morning, March 10th with Father Ronnie Tagnines celebrant. Interment followed in the family plot of Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke. Pallbearers were: Benedetto Ciolli, Luigi Federico, Fernando Federico, Rod Sherlock, Frank Morrone and David Siccia.


Paulina was born in Spezzano Piccolo, Italy on June 29, 1934 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1964. She enjoyed gardening and then canning and preserving the bounty from her garden. Paulina also enjoyed shopping and visiting with her friends and family in person and on the telephone. She loved to cook and was always making sure everyone had enough to eat whenever they visited her home. Paulina’s family was her focus in life and she took care of them all with her whole heart and adored each one of them. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be sorely missed.


Paulina was predeceased by her parents, three brothers: Pasquale Bafaro, Filippo Bafaro and Salvatore Bafaro and one sister Teresa Ascoli. She is survived by her loving husband Angelo; three children: Sam (Teresa) LeRose, Angela (Don) Waterson and Joe (Angela) LeRose, all of Revelstoke; five grandchildren: Philip, Ally, Angelo (AJ), Paulina and Sammy; sister-in-law Margarita Bafaro as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.


Arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
