Pearl Brown-Unger

1931 - 2012


Mrs. Pearl Brown-Unger of Red Deer, Alberta passed away surrounded by the love of her husband, children and family, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the age of 80 years.


Pearl was born one cold January morning at home on the Red Deer River near Mafeking, Manitoba. She married Matthew Brown in 1951 and raised four children. Sadly Matthew passed away in 1994 but soon after she met Frank Unger and they married on October 25, 1997 and they had 14 years together.


She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Frank Unger, three sons, Elton and Cameron Brown both of Salmon Arm, British Columbia and Kevin Brown of Revelstoke, British Columbia as well as a daughter Jane (Gary) Appel of Irricana, Alberta and four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She will also be missed by two sisters May Nemenko and Ernestine Ryder. Pearl was predeceased by her first husband Matthew Brown, two brothers Roland and John as well as two sisters Virginia and Eleanor.
