"When the battle stopped and the smoke cleared, there was thunder from the throne, and the seven Spanish angels, took another angel home"
Hobby farmer and retired logging company owner of Hilyn Holdings, Philip David Beattie's dedication to prove life wrong didn't come to an end with his demise. Philip passed away unexpectedly on June 25, 2021 at the age of 80 in his home in Kitchener, BC, painlessly, with his wife by his side.
Philip was born in Mobery, BC in 1941. At the age of five his family moved to Creston, BC where he lived until his teen years. He then moved to Golden and later to Nakusp where he met and married his wife Karolyn in 1964.
Together they lived in Halfway Creek, Revelstoke Blue River and back to Revelstoke while Philip worked and they raised a family. In 1997 he took over his mother's farm in Kitchener, BC and fulfilled his dream of being a farmer.
His animals were not just pets, they were his family. Besides his animals, Philip enjoyed tinkering in his shop and flying airplanes, belonging to the Revelstoke Flying Club.
He will be eternally remembered by his wife of 56 years, Karolyn; Children: Warren and Ryan; Grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Brody and Tyson; Sister: Marie (Casper); as well as numerous relatives and friends.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to those at the Creston Valley Hospital Dialysis Department and the Cranbrook Wellness Center for their care over the past years.

"Papa...I hold you close within my heart, and there you will remain.
To walk with me throughout my life, until we meet again"
