Becky was born in Edmonton, Dec. 26, 1955 and passed away in Surrey, B.C. on Friday, July 3, 2009 at 53 years of age. In her childhood and school years, she lived in Revelstoke. As a young woman, she lived in Vancouver, Hawaii, and Germany before returning to live and raise her own children in Revelstoke. She then moved to the coast and spent her final years in Surrey. She was predeceased by her parents, Doc and Peggy Dragani. She leaves behind her loving partner Yves Laforest, and her children Nik and Katja Fuess and their father Max Fuess of Munich, Germany. She also leaves behind her precious granddaughter, Katja’s daughter, Kayden. She is also survived by her brothers; John (Connie) of Vancouver, Michael (Mary)of Revelstoke, her sisters; Debby Meulendyk (Peter) of Revelstoke, Peggy Kennedy (Goldy) of Summerland , along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co-workers. Becky was an avid skier and loved the outdoors. In the summer, she loved hiking, biking and camping with her friends. She was a great cook and gardener and loved her home life. She happily worked for many years as a teacher’s aide in the public school system. Her final career as a BC Corrections Officer was very special to her and she was proud of her service. When she was diagnosed with cancer early in 2008, she chose to live her life to the fullest and showed courage and strength that was admired by all who knew her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the doctors, staff and volunteers at VGH, Surrey Memorial Hospital and Laurel Place Hospice for their effort and care of Becky. A celebration of life was held on Thursday, July 9 at Avalon Funeral Home in Surrey, B.C.
