Ronald Allan Campbell

Ronald Allan "Ron" Campbell passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Wednesday, March 13th, 2019 at the age of 82 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Revelstoke United Church on Friday afternoon, March 29th, 2019 at 1 pm. with Reverend David Cooke officiating. Interment of Ron's cremated remains will follow in the family plot of Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Revelstoke Humane Society, P.O. Box 340, Revelstoke, BC, V0E 2S0, in memory of Ron.

Ron was born in Rockwood, Manitoba on June 29, 1936 and had been a resident of Revelstoke for over 54 years. He enjoyed curling, playing baseball and hockey. Ron was also a hockey and baseball coach and taught many in the neighbourhood how to pitch. He loved camping, gardening, especially growing tomato plants and working on his houses. He was very active with the United Church, doing construction, maintenance and everything and anything that was asked of him. Family was the most important thing in Ron's life. His love for Beth, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was endless.

Ron was predeceased by his beloved wife Beth in 2017, sisters Laverne and Joan and brothers Russell and Stan. He is survived by four children: Tom (Pat) Campbell, Bev Campbell, Carol (Craig) Madlung, all of Revelstoke and Bill (Darlene) Campbell of Kamloops; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother Ken (Della) Campbell of Stonewall, Manitoba; sister-in-law Marg Olson of Golden; sister-in-law Jean Robertson of Kelowna; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
