Ronald Philip (Ron) Patchett


Mr. Ronald Philip (Ron) Patchett passed away at Holyrood Manor in Maple Ridge, B.C. on Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 at the age of 65 years. Service of Christian Burial was held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Revelstoke on Monday afternoon, February 23rd with Father Ramon Basilla officiating. Cremation.

Honorary pallbearers were Garry Resvick, John Macko, John Campbell, Jack May, Randy Biggs, Dave Jones and Harry Law. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made towards a Memorial Bench Fund c/o the City of Revelstoke, Box 170, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0, in memory of Ron.


Ron was born in Quesnel, B.C. on September 29, 1943 and had been resident of Maple Ridge for the last 22 months. Prior to that he lived in Revelstoke for 35 years. During that time he was a well respected and much loved teacher and coach to many young people. Ron enjoyed playing softball and golfing in his spare time. Family was very important to Ron and he loved them all very much, especially his grandchildren who became the light of his life in the past couple of years.


Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Anna of Maple Ridge; two children: Mark (Lisa) Patchett of North Vancouver and Tina (Graham) Patterson of Maple Ridge; two grandchildren Quinton Ronald and Mya as well as one on the way; his mother Marian Patchett of Quesnel; two brothers: Don Patchett and Terry Patchett, both of Quesnel; mother-in-law Assunta Mele of Revelstoke; numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws as well as a host of good friends.


Arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
