Mrs. Rosalie (Rose) Camozzi passed away peacefully on November 17, 2011 at the age of 95 years.


A memorial service for the late Rose Camozzi will be held from the chapel of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke on Saturday, December 3rd, 2011 at 11 am with Gary Sulz officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Moberly Park Manor Foundation, P.O. Box 1570, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0 in memory of Rose.


Rose was born in Erickson, B.C. on October 5, 1916. She had been a resident of Galena Bay in the 1940’s and at 12 Mile in the early 1950’s where she also worked as the Postmistress. She lived in Arrowhead in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. During this time she studied and was granted her Practical Nursing Diploma in 1957. In 1968, Rose moved in to Revelstoke where resided until her death.


Rose loved to read and enjoyed listening to music. She loved horses and was known for a wonderful collection of figurines that she enjoyed so much. She had a great sense of humour and a beautiful smile. All those who knew her will miss her infectious laugh.


Rose was predeceased by her first husband, Meta Dedosenco; her second husband, Richard Camozzi; brother, Jack Pytrashuk; son, Albert Dedosenco; daughter-in-law, Gloria Dedosenco and granddaughter Cherie Dedosenco. She is survived by her son, Ron Dedosenco, daughter, Helen Smith; sister, Betty Roberts; grandchildren: Layton Dedosenco, Lianne VanEs, Michelle Dedosenco, Robert Smith, Wendy Boudot, Lynne Smith, Terry Smith and Cheryl Sundquist; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
