Sheila Elaine Tiernan passed away at Kelowna General Hospital on Wednesday, May 19th, 2021 at the age of 66 years. Her husband Ken and niece Cathy were at her side.
Sheila was born in Salmon Arm, B.C. on September 23, 1954 and had been a resident of Revelstoke for over 30 years. She was an avid walker and cycler and enjoyed those activities with numerous colleagues over the years.
Sheila loved motorcycle riding and did her first major road trip, driving her own motorcycle, to Wyoming. Over her 20+ years of touring on her motorcycle she and Ken visited many locations in western North America. Sheila enjoyed knitting and was a voracious reader. She loved to assist others both in her work and personal life and was always doing things for other people.
Sheila was predeceased by her parents and one brother Henry. She is survived by her husband Ken Talbot of Revelstoke; three brothers: Neil (Pearl) Tiernan of Dawson Creek, Richard Tiernan (Audra Johnson) of Kersley, B.C. and Louis (Sandra) Tiernan of Deep Creek, B.C.; sister Celia (Larry) Smith of Edmonton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many good friends.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic restrictions a celebration of life for Sheila will be held at a later date to allow all who wish to attend the opportunity. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Illecillewaet Greenbelt Society.
